Rishikesh Wildlife Safari


Rajaji National Park that we know today is an integration of Rajaji, Motichur and Chilla Wildlife sanctuaries which are parts of Dehradun, Shivalik and Lansdowne Forest Divisions. The sanctuaries were merged in the year 1983 and named after the first Governor-General of India, Dr. C. Rajagopalachari, who was popularly known as Rajaji. The Motichur and Rajaji Sanctuaries are adjoining to each other while Chilla Sanctuary gets separated by Ganges and Chilla River on the south -east.In 1984, Rajaji National Park was finally established as an important protected area in the Terai Region.

Trek to Chandrashila peak in Uttarakhand


Chandrashila treks are one of the most popular treks among Indian trekking enthusiasts. The trek to the peak is 5 km. The trek route that starts from Chopta takes one to Tungnath (highest Shiva temple in the World), from here it is a kilometer long, and a steep trek. Though shorter in distance, steep climbing makes this trek rigorous.This trek is undertaken throughout the year although during winter season due to snowfall this trek becomes hard as road to Chopta gets closed. Ram Jhula: Most popular bridge in Rishikesh


Ram Jhula is iron suspension bridge on the river Ganga in Rishikesh. Ram Jhula connects Muni Ki Reti with Swargashram. The bridge is pedestrian bridge but people also drive bikes on it. There are two similar bridges in Rishikesh. The old one is known as Lakshman Jhula. Ram Jhula is new one so it is named after Lakshman’s brother Lord Ram. Ram Jhula is total 230 meters long. Ram Jhula was built in 1986.
Ram Jhula is one of two most famous tourist areas in Rishikesh (another is Lakshman Jhula). Most of the famous ashrams are located very close to the Ram Jhula. Sivananda Ashram, Parmarth Niketan, Gita Bhawan, Swargashram, Omkarnanda, Yog Niketan and many others are located near the Ram Jhula.
