Gangotri Dham in Uttarakhand.

The holy watercourse Ganga is understood to be originated from Gangotri itself, through the prayer created by king Bhagirath. Gangotri lies at an elevation of 3, 200 meters in Uttarkashi district where thousands of adorer visits scrub away their sins within the age of salvation. The river is believed to be the sacred supply of purity and quality and then before visiting the temple, devotees take a holy dip during this mighty watercourse. The original temple was created by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa within the early years of the eighteenth century and later remodeled by the maharaja of Jaipur.
