Kunjapuri is a Hindu temple dedicated to goddess Kunjadevi, a local deity that commands high respect from local population. The temple is near 29km drive from Rishikesh city and easily accessible. From the hill top where the temple is built you get a panoramic view of Indian Himalayan range with several prominent peaks like Chaukhamba and Sumeru visible.A great way to enjoy the surrounding region is by taking a hike to the temple from Rishikesh. If going uphill is hard then you can do a downhill trek as well and still enjoy the mountains and villages of Garhwal Himalayas.
